Aftermath has partnered up with the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA) in order to assist with Victim Relations and provide the extra support they need. NOVA's mission is to champion dignity and compassion for victims of crime and crisis.
This partnership will allow Aftermath to further educate their employees on the impact of victimization and appropriate responses. Aftermath understands the burden that is placed on families after a tragic event. We are committed to ensuring that victims are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. The partnership with NOVA will only increase the quality of service Aftermath provides.
Below is a list of just a few of the benefits we can offer victims as a result of our partnership with NOVA:
NOVA will work with Aftermath to guide and help set victims' relations policies, best practices, training, technical assistance, resources development and periodic consultations.This assistance will include but will not be limited to the following:
- Customized victims relations mentoring for Aftermath leadership/coaching staff.
- Annual on-site training for call center employees, job handlers and coaching staff.
- Consultation with corporate management to develop a corporate crisis and incident management policy designed to equip corporate leadership for incidents involving employees and to promote meaningful self-care at every level in the company.
- Developmont of on-line training modules for Aftermath teams and first-responders.
- Access to NOVA Network for potential scaled-up response needs.pmont of on-line training modules for Aftermath teams and first-responders.
- Access to NOVA Network for potential scaled-up response needs.
- On-call support from NOVA's Executive Director at a minimum allocation of 10% time, as necessary.
