Aftermath, Inc. is a specialist in crime scene and tragedy cleanup. We emphasize ‘tragedy’ clean-up, since little of our work involves active crime scenes. Even if a crime was committed, investigators and medical examiners have finished their work before we move in to relieve the family and friends of the burden of the physical aftermath. Homicides and Self-Inflicted death (suicide) are not the only type of tragedy cleaning we perform. Just because blood may not be readily visible, body fluids may potentially have a high enough concentration of pathogens to be classified as “Other Potentially Infectious Materials” (OPIM) according to OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (reference 29CFR1910.1030).
